Premill & Custom Abutments
Build a custom abutment on a factory-machined interface — a precise fit on the fixture, guaranteed.
A premill blank is a semi-finished titanium part whose fixture-connection interface is already machined at the factory to micron-level precision. You only mill the upper portion — the abutment shape and profile — which takes the riskiest part of implant work out of the equation.
Why it matters
The abutment-to-fixture connecting surface must be accurate to within a few microns for passive seating. Milling that surface on a standard lab milling machine isn't reliably accurate, and error there leads to screw loosening, micro-gaps and eventually peri-implantitis. With a premill, that critical surface stays untouched.
Choosing the right premill
The right premill depends entirely on your implant system and platform diameter. We confirm the exact part code (such as C10) and its compatibility with your system before you order.
What you need to mill it
A 5-axis milling machine capable of titanium (a wet system) with a dedicated premill holder. If your current machine doesn't meet these requirements, we can suggest suitable options.
