Digital Lab Consumables

Glaze and liquid stains — the small-ticket items that determine how the final restoration actually looks.

Consumables are the smallest line item in a digital lab's budget, but they have an outsized effect on the finished result. A restoration milled and sintered perfectly can still look dull and artificial with the wrong glaze.

Liquid colors

Applied at the green stage — after milling and before sintering — and fixed into the zirconia structure during the sinter cycle. This is the only opportunity for deep-body coloring of white zirconia.

Glaze powder

Applied at the final stage, glaze gives the surface its shine and smoothness, and also helps prevent plaque buildup on the restoration surface.

Do you need both?

If you work with white blanks, liquid stains are a core part of your workflow. If you use multilayer, you'll typically only need liquid color for final shade matching.
